Hey! I'm Dave, a recent newcomer to software development. My career has brought me to some wild locations. I worked the Canadian Arctic for the telephone company. While at Newfoundland Telephone, I worked out of a helicopter. I maintained all of the microwave sites across Labrador, with shared responsibilities for the public swithing network. Recently (about twenty years ago) I became interested in Cisco IP telephony and made a career, developing all things Cisco. I'm well equipped with a technical skillset and an eagerness to learn and experiment!

I currently work for Visa Inc, my office is in London, England. I am a technical analyst who designs and engineers telecom solutions for the business. I am enjoying the opportunity to pickup new skills, I am very excited to learn about the Microsoft Power Platform. This will resolve the time honoured tradition of disorganized record keeping.

I am currently enrolled in some Software Development training courses, offered at Visa. I am learning to develop applications using Java, Python, Swift, and C#. I am also learning about web development using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I am excited to learn more about software development and to apply my skills in real world projects.

Outside of career and academics, I enjoy photography and seeing my granddaughter.
